Description: cincinnatichildrens.org Colton’s journey at Cincinnati Children’s started when he was just a baby. He wasn’t meeting specific milestones like rolling over or sitting up, so his parents came to us for answers. Doctors found multiple rare and complex conditions, which include a nervous system disorder and cerebral palsy. Since then, Colton has had over 220 visits to Cincinnati Children’s and calls himself a “frequent flyer.” He visits occupational and physical therapists to help with mobility and speech and had leg surgery last September that was so successful he can now walk for 15 minutes with help from leg braces and a walker! Colton’s life hasn’t been easy, but you wouldn’t know it talking to him. This Bengals fan always looks on the bright side, saying things like, “You have glasses to help you see, I’ve got leg braces to help me walk.” Colton and his family have now been given an amazing opportunity to see their favorite team play in the Super Bowl thanks to the Indianapolis Colts and their owner Jim Irsay. The Colts approached Cincinnati Children’s with this incredible gift, and we were thrilled to tell the family!
